Through guided instruction and hands-on sawbone practice, you’ll gain the confidence and technical skills needed to successfully perform this procedure in your own clinic—while achieving strong, reliable outcomes for your patients.

Patella Luxation: Introducing RidgeStop™

Join this immersive hands-on lab focused on the diagnosis and surgical management of patella luxation, featuring an in-depth introduction to RidgeStop™, a novel and less-aggressive alternative to traditional sulcoplasty techniques.

This course begins with a 1-hour lecture covering the fundamentals of patella luxation and available surgical treatment options, followed by 2 hours of hands-on lab time designed to build confidence and technical proficiency. With a strong focus on RidgeStop™, you’ll gain practical experience with an approach that minimizes trauma while maintaining effective joint stabilization.

Local Anesthetic Techniques of the Head and Epidural Injections in Dogs and Cats

Lab Description:

This workshop is designed for veterinarians and technicians who want to master techniques that can provide regional analgesia to the oral cavity and head. You’ll receive brief didactic training on targeted nerve block techniques, followed by small groups working with expert guidance to locate nerves and surrounding structures on cadavers.

The goal is to master multiple analgesic techniques for patients undergoing dental, maxillofacial, auricular and ocular surgery, reducing reliance on opioids and other systemic analgesics. In addition to blocks of the head, if time allows, interested participants will also be able to practice sacrococcygeal epidurals and/or distal extremity blocks.

Key Course Components:

• Techniques Covered: Common peripheral nerve blocks of the head for oral (mandibular and maxillary blocks), auricular (greater auricular/auriculotemporal blocks) and periorbital pain management. Time allowing, interested candidates may gain brief exposure to additional peripheral nerve block techniques.
• Practical Application: Hands-on training with expert guidance to improve technical proficiency.
• Safety & Pharmacology: Review of local anesthetics and anatomical landmarks.
